Site production for NAHBS

The North American Handmade Bicycle Show is the world’s premier annual showcase for the artistry, craftsmanship and inspiration of custom bicycle frame builders. Although many NAHBS exhibitors are one-man shops building only a handful of frames per year, NAHBS generates online buzz to rival major trade shows featuring the largest companies in the bike industry.

Approaching a full rebuild of NAHBS' website, I developed a portal where exhibitors could display their latest bikes and update their info at any time throughout the year. In addition to detailed exhibitor profiles, the site also included an e-commerce section that doubled pre-show ticket sales compared to the previous year's show.

Custom homepage

The NAHBS homepage displays latest news including a "sticky" Featured post and a random selection of exhibitor profiles.

I was responsible for all copywriting and content for the site when it launched in July 2009.

User-editable exhibitor profiles

Each exhibitor received a login to edit their profile information and add links to their blogs and social media profiles. Exhibitors can also create distinct pages for bikes they've built; thumbnails are displayed within their profile as well as in the Bikes gallery.
