Just another day at the office

It’s a bit strange to find myself working in a big corporate office, but SRAM’s headquarters in Chicago is a pretty awesome space. Here’s the product testing and work area:

These belong to David Z, the head of global marketing:

Here’s Alex Wassmann, who coordinates all of SRAM’s road and triathlon sponsorships:

New leaf turned over

I’m taking a new direction with the site. Instead of just writing mini-articles, I’m going to start talking more about what’s going on at Kadisco. Kind of like, um, a blog. Here’s something new, courtesy of MASH.

I’m at the PSFK conference right now, dealing with the fallout from the Ricco positive as relates The Road Diaries. It’s interesting to be part of the internal debates but mostly it’s a shitty situation for everyone involved.
We’ve decided to leave the posts related to Ricco and Saunier Duval-Scott up on the site, except for [...]

The project that I’ve been working on with SRAM for the last two months reached a big milestone this week. The Road Diaries went live! The site itself is a multi-author, multimedia blog written by the SRAM road team. We’ll be producing exclusive behind-the-scenes content that we’ll upload at events using mobile technology to give [...]

1988 Zipp catalog

I came across this 1988 catalog, Zipp’s first, while I was getting underway with a new project. I’ve been thinking and writing lately about the recent proliferation of color options in the bike industry, so it’s ironic to see a 20-year-old wheel that was available in blue, white, yellow and red. MASH at the RVCA x Cinelli art show

Last night was the opening of the “Pressure” art show, a collaboration between RVCA and Cinelli. The show featured bike-themed works by some really well known graphic artists like Barry McGee, KAWS, Phil Frost, and others. MASH was given the corner window display to play around with, and Mike came up with this giant dreamcatcher [...]

Do work Kyte!

Robert Scoble had a guest column on TechCrunch yesterday arguing that Kyte beat out its competitors in the market for live video streaming from your mobile phone. We’ve already selected Kyte as the video platform for the project that I’m working on for SRAM, so we must be really smart.

Mellow Johnny’s opening weekend

Mellow Johnny’s opening weekend

There was much hoopla surrounding the opening weekend of Lance Armstrong’s bike shop/coffee shop/training center in Austin. MASH got to be a part of it, which was huge.

There are loads of articles and blogs to link to, but here is the most important (at least over time): Yelp
