Experience Design

As a consultant to the founder of this pre-launch social networking website for cyclists, I helped to develop site-wide constructs, user interface, and functionality for MyByk’s general membership and bicycle industry brand users.

• Planned a system for members to assemble bike profiles using brands’ product profiles
• Helped create a data model to catalog every type of cycling product
• Created and fine-tuned a series of detailed Photoshop mockups for all site features
• Wrote technical specifications and communicated with offshore engineering team
• Participated in testing and feedback cycle
• Worked with bicycle industry brands to obtain and import product data

Advertising Features

In addition to participating in the site development process, my role with MyByk included leveraging my bicycle industry experience and contacts to lay a foundation for future advertising customers.

• Developed new concepts for advertiser-facing features
• Adapted common social marketing tools for their first-ever use in the bicycle industry
• Assembled in-site sponsorship packages and created MyByk’s pre-launch rate card
• Created sales presentations and led discussions with potential advertisers
• Tested and customized CRM database and ad server
