UX & Development // COMMON

Anyone, anywhere in the world, can start a social enterprise. Imagine if those entrepreneurs could join forces and align their ventures under a shared, global brand while maintaining independent ownership and operations. That's COMMON. Now, imagine what COMMON's community website should be like and build a beta version in a month. That was my first project working with Alex Bogusky and Rob Schuham at the FearLess Cottage.

As the Cottage's web developer and user experience designer, I'm responsible for building and maintaining a site where users can share ideas and collaborate on new ventures. Following the initial release, I'm working on a major redesign and UX refinement slated for release in August.

"COMMON hopes to take the entrepreneurial, startup mentality of FearLess and apply it to Project M's approach of "thinking wrong" to arrive at powerful creative solutions." - GOOD

The homepage at launch, featuring lots of WordPress and BuddyPress customizations. Users could create their profiles locally on COMMON.is or register with Facebook Connect. During beta testing, all new registrations were filtered through a moderation queue.
